About the Platform

Space Weather Early Warning Tool · Busitema University

Platform Overview

The Busitema Space Weather Early Warning Tool is a research-grade platform delivering accurate, real-time atmospheric and ionospheric data for improved decision-making in disaster preparedness, agriculture, and environmental management.

By combining satellite observations, global forecast models (GFS/WRF), and local sensor data, we provide reliable weather insights tailored to Ugandan communities and the broader East African region.

Our Mission

To make advanced weather and space weather information accessible to communities, institutions, and decision-makers — empowering proactive response to hazards such as floods, droughts, landslides, and ionospheric disruptions affecting communications and navigation.
